Botox For Men
Botox For Men
Each year, an increasing number of American men are undergoing medical cosmetic procedures to help them achieve inner confidence and well-being at work and in their daily lives. At Bella Luce Medical Spa we believe men should have the same access to these treatments as women within a supportive environment.
What is Botox for Men (Brotox)
“Brotox” is the new code word for BOTOX® for Men and it is becoming more and more popular. The stigma associated with cosmetic procedures nowadays has greatly decreased and male patients who have received Botox feel more confident and believe it gives them a competitive edge.
How Long Does Botox Last
Botox lasts an average of 4-6 months for most men, so it should be repeated 2-3 times a year for best results. The good news for BOTOX regulars is that studies show that those who keep up with their BOTOX injections for a period of about two years may end up requiring less BOTOX to get the same result after that amount of time. This is only true when you don’t miss doses, so most of our clients will simply schedule an appointment every 4 months so they don’t have to think about it.
Botox for Men vs Botox for Women
1.) It takes more BOTOX to do the job. Men have much more muscle mass in their foreheads and brows than women do, so it usually requires a larger amount of product to achieve a perfect amount of relaxation. Women typically require 30-50 units of Botox, while men are usually in the 50-80 unit range.
2.) The ideal brow shape is different for a man. Brow shape is the KEY to natural looking BOTOX, and if the shape is off because of bad technique, the result will be less than ideal. Women’s brows should have a gentle arch that sits a few centimeters above the brow bone. Men’s brows should not have much of an arch, and should not sit much above the bone. A straighter, lower brow is more attractive for a man, and getting this look depends entirely on how your injector administers the BOTOX.
3.) Men require a more precise technique. It takes a special eye and technique to give men the results they are after. Many inexperienced or unqualified injectors use the same technique on every person. While this may sometimes lead to good results, it will not be consistent or appropriate for everyone. Ideal BOTOX results in both men and women require an elite level of knowledge of the anatomy of the forehead and brow muscles, a unique understanding of how they work together, an artistic eye that appreciates the subtle differences in brow shape between men and women, and a steady hand that is capable of putting the BOTOX precisely where it needs to be.
4.) Different hairlines require a slightly different injection pattern. Men often have much higher hairlines than women, and in some cases when men have shaved heads this is especially true. Sometimes it’s necessary to extend the Botox up onto the scalp for the most natural results depending on the hairstyle. This is never an issue with women but is a very commonly missed technique in men. Another plus for extending BOTOX into the scalp is that it has been shown to slow the rate of hair loss in younger men who are going bald.

What is Diamond Glow Dermalinfusion?
Dermalinfusion is a non-invasive 3-in-1 treatment that simultaneously exfoliates, extracts, and infuses skin with condition-specific serums tailored to your skin type. This procedure takes about half an hour depending on where on your body the treatment is performed.
It is the first and only exfoliation-to-serum treatment technology with an optimal-depth delivery for immediate and long-lasting results on all skin types with no downtime.
How Does Dermalinfusion Work?
During your first visit, we will design your individual treatment plan based on your areas of concern.
The treatment is performed with a diamond tip that is chosen based on your skin type. This diamond tip exfoliates and removes dry and damaged cells on the skin, much like a peel but without the downtime. While you are exfoliating and extracting bacteria, the SilkPeel treatment is infusing a specific serum based on your skin needs and concerns. Immediately after the treatment, your skin will feel silky smooth and hydrated.
Dermalinfusion Facials are an advanced form of microdermabrasion and are part of the next-generation facials due to their ability to infuse the skin with nutrients to improve facial imperfections.
Where Can Dermalinfusion Treat?
Dermalinfusion can treat from head to toe.
What does Diamond Glow Treat?
Hyperpigmentation, dark spots, sun damage, post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH)
Aging skin with fine lines
Sallow skin
Dry, dehydrated skin
Enlarged pores, oily-prone, and congested skin
Rough skin texture
Fine lines, discoloration, and sagging around delicate eyes and lips – areas traditionally too fragile for procedures
Is Diamond Glow Effective?
The results of a Diamond Glow treatment are immediately visible. The skin will look and feel smoother, and the skin will have a healthy glow. For the best possible results, patients can undergo this treatment every month.
For maximum results patients should also adopt an at-home skincare regimen to maintain results; this includes the use of sunscreen, facial cleansers, moisturizers, and eye creams.
While Dermalinfusions offer excellent skincare results, it is not capable of producing the dramatic results that can be achieved with more invasive treatments. If you are looking for a more effective solution to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and acne scars, you may be interested in:
Chemical peels: Unlike Diamond Glow, chemical peels incorporate the use of an abrasive, chemical solution to stimulate the removal of outer layers of skin.
Pearl Skin Resurfacing: In laser skin resurfacing, ablative lasers are used to remove the outer layers of skin.
IPL: The IPL treatment involves the use of flashes of light that cause collagen and blood vessels to constrict, reducing the appearance of many types of skin flaws.
Depending on the extent of your skin imperfections, multiple treatment sessions may be required with IPL photofacials, chemical peels, and laser skin resurfacing.
How Long Does it Take to See Results?
Results can be noticed immediately following a treatment and will continue to improve for the next one to two weeks.
Dermalinfusion vs. Microdermabrasion
Dermalinfusions are an advanced form of microdermabrasion and are next-generation of facials because of their ability to infuse the skin with nutrients.
There is no prep or downtime.
It is a better method overall to improve facial imperfections such as hyperpigmentation or age spots as well as hydrating very dry, dull skin.
Dermalinfusion vs. HydraFacial
A Dermalinfusion uses individual prepackages treatment heads ensuring no cross-contamination between patients. The HydraFacial uses a tip that is reused on subsequent patients.
A Dermalinfusion uses individually packaged infusion solutions, so they are always fresh. This contrasts with HydraFacial which houses large containers of multi-use solutions which could affect the efficacy due to exposure to light and air.
A Dermalinfusion allows for individualized treatments by customizing the strength of the treatment. For patients with delicate skin, the grit of the diamond head can be adjusted versus those with thicker skin who may need a stronger treatment. This is opposed to a one size fits all treatment of the HydraFacial.
