Chemical Peel

What is a Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is a medical strength peel that lifts your skin to a new level of health. This technique is used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck, or hands. This is achieved by applying a chemical solution to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. As a result, the new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.

What Do Chemical Peels Treat

Chemical peels are used to treat a number of conditions including:

  • Acne scars

  • Aging skin

  • Crow’s feet

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Melasma

  • Scars

  • Sun-damaged skin

  • Sagging skin

  • Wrinkles

There are Three Basic Types of Chemical Peels:

Superficial or lunchtime peel: This is a results-driven treatment that will change the image of your skin in just one session. Vitamin C, alpha and beta hydroxy acids, and gentle yet effective enzymes speed up cellular turnover lightening, tightening and brightening all skin types, even Rosacea, and sensitive skin.

Medium peel: This ultra-resurfacing blend of glycolic acid and retinol visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin firm and revitalized. This is a great peel for aging skin and hyperpigmentation issues. This is a treatment that exfoliates dead surface skin cells, which improves circulation for skin that is firmer and healthier – with a noticeable reduction of fine lines.

Deep peel (ZO 3-Step Peel): This advanced resurfacing treatment peel targets melasma, acne, fine lines, rough texture, large pores, and dullness. It is suitable for all skin types and produces longer lasting results than ordinary peels. The ZO 3-Step Peel significantly improves skin health and treats many signs of aging by using a blend of exfoliants, retinol, and multi-action agents.
