What Is Botox & Dysport

Bella Luce Med Spa uses BOTOX® and Dysport to temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines in adults.

Dysport® and BOTOX® temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your whole face and giving you the “frozen look”. Untreated facial muscles still work normally allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling and deliver temporary improvement in moderate to severe frown lines, even with repeat treatments. The effects of repeat treatment may be comparable to your first use.
Botox/Dysport can be used to treat the following taking approximately the number of units listed. These will differ from person to person.
Crows Feet – 5-15 units/side
Forehead Lines – 10-30 units
Frown Lines – 10-25 units
Eyebrow lift – 2-5 units/side
Bunny lines – 5-10 units/side
Vertical Lip Lines – 2-7 units
Corners of the Mouth – 3-6 units
If you are interested in a poutier look (i.e. Lip Flip), Botox can relax the muscles around the mouth and roll the lip outward (i.e. “flipping” it), creating the illusion of a bigger lip — without the added volume.

How Does It Work
Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. It’s not just about cellular changes that can occur over time, reduction of collagen, or damage caused by the sun and the environment. When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. And when you squint, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet.
Dysport® and BOTOX® target the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. A Bella Luce Medical Spa specialist will inject these muscles to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows.
Treatment generally takes just 10 to 20 minutes.
Real, Noticeable Results
The process takes only 10 minutes. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines, however complete results are usually noticed within 7-10 days. Results can last up to 4 months.
Treatment requires minimal downtime or recovery and is often called a lunchtime procedure. You’ll be able to go about your normal routine immediately after you leave the Bella Luce Medical Spa office.
